2023 Hajj Operations: Over 1000 pilgrims registered in Osun

●As Hajj Operations Managers hold meeting with the Osun Pilgrims Welfare Board

Osun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has concluded necessary arrangements on the Welfare of the Pilgrims to make this year Hajj a hitch-free and successful one for them both in Nigeria and in Saudi Arabia.

The Administrative Secretary of the Board, Mr Bolaji Sanni, stated this while briefing Hajj Managers on the first pre-hajj visit to Saudi Arabia and preparation for 2023 Hajj activities in a meeting held in his office on Thursday.

Bolaji further stated that all arrangements concerning befitting accommodation, feeding, suitcases and other logistics had been put in place for the intending pilgrims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in order to ensure a smooth Hajj exercise.

According to the Board Secretary, all categories of ages were allowed to perform this year’s Hajj but advised aged parents should be escorted by younger relatives who would assist them and take good care of them when necessary during the exercise.

In order to ensure smooth Operation, the Board Secretary also appealed to the Hajj managers that all international passports of the intending Pilgrims and the initial Hajj fare deposit which is Three Million Naira only should be ready on or before 31st of March 2023, noting that it would also contribute to a hitch-free exercise.

He disclosed that the Board had already registered almost One Thousand (1000) intending Pilgrims for this year’s Hajj exercise and had since kick-started arrangements for the Hajj Operation in full swing.

Thereafter, the Hajj Managers assured the Board of their absolute cooperation towards the success of the Hajj exercise.

They prayed that the Almighty Allah would continue to strengthen the unity among them and thanked the management of the Board for the opportunity granted.

Also present at the meeting were the accountant of the Board, Alhaji Wale Adegbite, the Head of Operations, Alhaji Kola Sangodipe with other Management staff members.
