Former Ogun State Governor, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun; Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Ogbonnaya Onu; and the senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Ondo State, Ajayi Boroffice; have obtained the N100 million presidential nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC)

The APC presidential aspirants picked the nomination forms on Friday to vie for the presidential ticket of the ruling party ahead of the 2023 general election.

Meanwhile, a former governor of Zamfara State, Sen. Ahmed Yerima, has declared his intention to contest the 2023 presidential election on the APC platform.

Yerima made this intention known while speaking to newsmen at the Presidential Villa in Abuja after his meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday.

The former governor said he would be focusing on three critical areas of needs, which include insecurity, poverty, and ignorance.

He added that he would pick the APC presidential nomination forms today.

Yerima said: “I’m here this afternoon to inform Mr. President of my intention to participate in the 2023 elections and to contest the office of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“I’m going to, insha Allah, purchase my forms today and officially declare this afternoon.

“So, I have three points as well; to fight insecurity, fight poverty, and ignorance,” the former governor stated.
