Over 200 Chinese companies have shown strong interest in investing in Nigeria during the China-Nigeria Business Forum held in Beijing.

The event, part of the visit by Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, aimed to enhance bilateral trade and investment between the nations.

Held on Friday, the forum facilitated business matchmaking to deepen economic ties.

Attendees included notable Nigerian dignitaries such as Aisha Rimi, CEO of NIPC; KS Halilu, CEO of NASENI; Oluwaseun Fakuade, Commissioner for MISDE Ekiti; and prominent figures from Nigeria’s private sector like Dr. Adegboyega Oluwarotimi Austen-Peters, Bolanle Austen-Peters, Dr. Ademola Sogunle, Bruce Ayonote, Tunde Hassan-Odukale, Olusegun Alebiosu, and Jawad Saleh Mustapha.

In his keynote address, Ambassador Tuggar highlighted the significance of Nigeria-China relations and the essential role of business exchanges in driving economic growth and diversification. He expressed anticipation for further strengthening partnerships during upcoming events, including the Nigeria-China Intergovernmental Committee meeting and the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Dalian.
