●Pledges support for Adeleke’s administration

The Commandant, Air Force, Research and Development Centre, Osogbo, Osun State, Air Vice-Marshal Amodu Ilemobayo has pledged that the Force is in top gear to improve the security architecture of the State so as to enable residents continue to enjoy the prevailing peace.

The Commandant made the pledge in the Office of the Governor, State Secretariat, Abere, during his courtesy visit on the State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

Air Vice-marshal Amodu, who was just posted to Osun about 3 weeks ago said upon assumption in the State, he had engaged other sister security agencies to synergize on how to improve the security of the State.

He disclosed that there were two sites domiciled in Osun in which construction works were ongoing such as operational area at Ido-Osun, covering about 60 hectares and administrative area, which covered about 142 hectares of land respectively, saying it would improve the economy of the State, and at the same time create employment opportunity for the people when completed.

He also commended the State Governor on his giant stride in the area of infrastructure development, which, he observed, shows that people are enjoying the dividends of democracy.

Air Vice-marshal Amodu, therefore, pledged that the force will give maximum support to the administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke.

While responding, the State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, appreciated the Air Vice-marshal Amodu and team members for deeming it fit to visit him.

The Governor explained that he was briefed about the airport project when he became the Governor of the State, emphasising that his administration is planning to build cargoe airport to service the free trade zone in order to revive the economy of the State. He therefore hinted that there is a need to sign a contract agreement between the two parties and, at the same time, set up a Committee for the successful completion of the project.

Present at the meeting were: Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, Deputy Speaker, Hon. Akinyode Oyewusi, Head of Service, Mr Ayanleye Aina, among others.
