Members of a vigilance group have arrested two suspected kidnappers and rescued about five abducted victims in some communities around Pali District in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Alkaleri Local Government Area, Bala Ibrahim, who disclosed this to newsmen in Bauchi, said he had ordered a special patrol by the vigilantes in the affected area.
This, according to him, was complementing the efforts of Governor Bala Mohammed and relevant security agencies, in curbing the incessant crime and criminality in the state.
The Council Caretaker Chairman, however, promised to sustain the fight against insecurity for the overall development of the local government and the state.
He also promised to intensify surveillance in and around the area to guarantee peace and security of the communities.
