Salutations have continued to accompany last Friday’s induction of the publisher of THE CONCLAVE publisher/editor-in-chief, Mr Sufuyan Ojeifo, into the membership of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), with the latest coming from Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, PhD, a former member of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), Ademola Adebo, PhD, Deputy Dean of School of Postgraduate School, Baze University, Abuja, Professor Biodun Adeniyi, and Director of Macro, Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Mr Felix Okonkwo.
“I, Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe PhD, heartily felicitates you on this noble feat of your induction into the NIPR. Congratulations as I wish you more recognitions in the field of Journalism and Public Relations,” the Permanent Secretary wrote.
Dr Adebo wrote: “Dear Sufuyan, warmest congratulations on your well-deserved induction into the membership of the prestigious NIPR. This is another significant milestone, a further recognition of your outstanding career as a journalist of international repute. I rejoice with you and wish you higher success in the days and years ahead. Heartiest congratulations.”
Professor Adeniyi wrote: “Heartfelt congratulations, once again. Ever so well deserved, for being focused, ethical and principled. I am confident that the nuanced business of Public Relations will benefit from your profound sense of circumspection, subdued brilliance and your seminal intelligence. More wins. Be blessed.”
Mr Okonkwo, while congratulating Ojeifo on his induction, stated that it was an honor well-deserved.
Head of Media Relations at the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Ominiyi Ibietan, PhD, who is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, in his congratulatory message, wished Ojeifo more success.
Director of Information in the Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mrs Julie Osagie-Jacobs, penned the following words: “Congratulations on all the accolades you have received in the past two weeks. First it was your induction into the elite Nigerian Guild of Editors and now that of the Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
“These are awards well-deserved for your hard work and contributions towards the journalism profession to ensure Nigeria has a well-informed society. These awards are to spur you to more hard work. The Lord indeed is your strength.”
Congratulatory messages also came from an American-based journalist and publisher, Mr Deba Uwadiae; and, a former editor of New Telegraph and publisher of The Star, Mr Ayodele Ojo who quipped: “congrats on your NIPR induction. It is back-to-back (referring to Ojeifo’s induction into the Nigerian guild of Editors about two weeks earlier). Which one is next? Congrats, my brother,’ among several others.
