Mathew, who gave the advice in Ilorin on Saturday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN), said murmuring would not change the country’s situation, but prayers.

According to him, most people are fond of complaining but not ready to take action through prayers for divine intervention.

“Let us join voices and seek divine intervention on the country’s situation. We all have roles to play.

“Prayer can unlock every situation. No situation is beyond prayer and actions. Let us pray for a change of fortunes.

“Nigeria’s problem is not bigger than prayers. Pray for the leaders, pray for the followers and stop murmuring.”

The cleric also urged the country leadership to always prioritise the welfare of the masses as well as have the fear of God.

“With the right attitude, the country will regain her lost glory, ” he added
