With 2027 on the horizon, Nigeria’s political reporters are convening the conversation early.
The National Association of Political Correspondents NAPOC will hold its 2nd Annual Lecture Series on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at NICON Luxury Hotel, Area 11, Abuja. Time: 12 noon.

Chairman, NAPOC Coordinating Committee Deba Uwadiae said the lecture is “part of the association’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s democratic institutions as the nation prepares for 2027.”
“NAPOC has always played a frontline role in promoting responsible political reporting and national dialogue. This lecture provides an opportunity for reflection and collaboration among the media, INEC, security agencies, and policymakers,” Uwadiae added.

The association is made up of journalists who covered Nigeria’s transition to civil rule in the 1990s. Since then, it has championed ethical political reporting and democratic accountability.
