In a statement issued from his office on June 30, 2025, the senator explained that he was receiving medical attention and expected to fully resume his responsibilities within two weeks or even earlier, God willing.

Senator Jarigbe also confirmed the postponement of a much-anticipated Endorsement Rally, due to his health challenge.
He stated that the decision, though difficult, was necessary to ensure he was in full strength to connect meaningfully with his constituents.
“This is a necessary pause, and I am having proper medical attention. God willing, I expect to resume fully my responsibilities within the next two weeks or even sooner,” the senator said.
Senator Jarigbe urged the public to show compassion rather than mockery, warning against politicising a natural and unpredictable aspect of life such as illness.
