In the wake of the expression of Kebbi State Governor’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the life and property of its citizens, the Nigeria Army, in collaboration with local vigilantes, executed a successful operation that disrupted a significant bandits’ presence and resulted in the rescue of four abducted individuals in the Bangi Hill region of Suru Local Government, Kebbi State.
In an official statement issued by Alhaji Ahmed Idris, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Kebbi State, the triumph was attributed to the steadfast support provided by the current administration to the state’s security agencies.
According to Alhaji Abdulrahman Usman, the Director of Security, the incident transpired at approximately 1600 hours on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.
Brave troops from the Dukku Barracks in Birinin Kebbi, collaborating with local vigilantes, conducted a combat patrol to Bangi Hill in Suru LGA.
During this operation, they effectively neutralized a considerable number of bandits and successfully rescued four individuals who had been kidnapped.
The rescued victims are identified as follows: Mallam Audu Fulani (45 years old), Umar Wakili (14 years old), Alhaji Iman (50 years old), and Chaggo Garba (19 years old).
He urged the local populace to support the security agencies by providing credible intelligence, thereby enabling them to discharge their duties with the utmost diligence.
