Malam Danladi Ndayabo died on Monday (07/11/2022) as a result of injuries he sustained during a fatal car accident on Minna-Suleja road.

In his condolence message, Comrade Abu Nmodu said he had yet to come to terms with the reality as the death of Malam Danladi Ndayabo, a senior colleague in the Leadership Newspaper was devastating and unfortunate.

He described Danladi Ndayabo as a fine writer, journalist par excellence, astute administrator, promoter of peace and unity, who carved a niche for himself in the art of journalism both at national and international levels.

The State Chairman of NUJ said that during his tenure as Chief Press Secretary to the Governor and Commissioner of Information, journalists in the state and invariably media industry got their fair share of benevolence from authorities concerned, hence the excellent working relationship between professionals and owners of media organisations.

He explained that the deceased was a fountain of knowledge and mentor who tutored many to become professionals both in print and electronic media, saying that, though the demise of Danladi Ndayabo was very painful, NUJ was consoled by the fact that he left an indelible footprint in journalism profession.

Comrade Abu Nmodu noted that the appointment of Danladi Ndayabo as Executive Secretary, Nigeria Institute of Quantity Surveyors was a clear demonstration of his capability and administrative knowledge to execute any task assigned to him, apart from his chosen career of journalism.

He stressed that the deceased would greatly be missed for his simplicity, honesty, hardwork, and ability to face daunting challenges, so long he would achieve the needed result at the end.

Comrade Nmodu said the state council of NUJ would continue to remember and cherish the uncommon contributions of Danladi Ndayabo to the growth and development of journalism as that was the only way to immortalize him and also to serve as a reference point for the present and future journalists in Niger State.

He then prayed Allah to forgive the deceased his shortcomings, grant him aljanatu firdaus and the family, staff members and management of Leadership Newspaper as well as people of Gbako local government, the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
