Pope Francis has officially appointed Bishop-Elect Dennis G. Walsh as the new Bishop for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Davenport.
The Diocese of Davenport says it took nearly eight months to find a new bishop.
Bishop-Elect Walsh, from the Diocese of Toledo, will be the 10th bishop of the Diocese of Davenport.
Walsh’s ordination and installation is set for Sept. 27.
