Obaseki condoles with Salvation Army over road accident

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has commiserated with Salvation Army Ministry International over an accident involving its members on the bridge across Ovia River on the Benin-Lagos Expressway, which claimed the lives of some of its members and other road users.

In a statement, the governor expressed sadness over the incident, praying that God would comfort the family of the victims and grant the injured quick recovery.

According to him, “I received the news of an accident involving a vehicle conveying members of the Salvation Army, which claimed the lives of its members with a heavy heart.

“Many were reported injured in the unfortunate incident, which happened on the bridge across Ovia River.

“I pray for the repose of the souls of the departed and quick recovery for the injured.”

The Edo State Commissioner for Public Security and Safety, Kingsley Uwagbale, has visited the injured victims.
