NUJ declares three-day mourning period to honour Tunde Adeyemo

Nigeria Union of Journalists, Osun State Council, has declared a three-day mourning period in honour of late chairman of OSBC chapel of the union, Mr Tunde Adeyemo, who died at the early hour of Monday after a brief illness.

A statement by the Chairman of the Union, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu and Secretary, Comrade Bukola Elufadejin said the union will put all its activities on hold within the period.

The statement noted that late Adeyemo with Osun State Broadcasting Corporation before his death. It said he was a committed and dedicated member of the union.

“The vacuum he left as the chairman of OSBC chapel of the Union would be very difficult to fill by the state council,” the statement said.

“The union however takes solace in the fact that late Adeyemo lived a fulfilled life and his service in the vineyard of the Lord and humanity cannot be underestimated.

“It is the prayer of the union that God Almighty will grant the family, relatives and NUJ the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
