Strike Force Operatives from Benue State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, acting on credible tip-offs about the activities of Vandals in the state, have arrested a vehicle conveying 40 pieces of vandalised railway slippers at Adeke after a hot chase.
In a statement, the command said the unknown driver of the vehicle took to his heels, abandoning the bus with registration number JJJ 48 XE LAGOS conveying vandalized railway sleepers to an unknown destination and has since been impounded alongside its contents at the command headquarters.
The statement added that another truck loaded with vandalised railway slippers seen along Makurdi/Lafia Road was accosted by a team of Benue State Command Anti-vandal personnel at Kadarko in Nasarawa state with the driver also on the run. It said the truck was later released to Nasarawa Command.
