Nigeria has recorded 216 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 6175 cases
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on Monday night through social media
The data from the agency also revealed that deaths in the country increases from 182 on the 17th of May to 191 on the 18th of May, 2020. This shows that the country recorded 9 new deaths due to pandemic.
According to the agency, Lagos has the highest number with 76 new cases follow by Katsina 33, Oyo 19, Kano 17, Edo 13, Zamfara 10, Ogun , Gombe and Borno with 8 new cases each.
Others include, Bauchi 7, Kwara 7, FCT 4, Kaduna 3, Enugu 3 and Rivers 2.
