A patron of the NGE and journalism Great, Mr Ray Ekpu presenting membership certificate of the NGE to the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of THE CONCLAVE, Mr Sufuyan Ojeifo.

“Sufuyan, let me join the list of those who value your contributions to the development of our country in congratulating you on your induction as a member of the prestigious Nigerian Guild of Editors, NGE and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR. To tell you the truth, I was surprised that you hadn’t been a member of the NGE all these years, considering how you have been acquitting yourself impressively as a high calibre editor for years. In fact, your foray into reading law like me, has equally given your professional skill a notch higher as a journalist, because you have written some astonishing legal reports that gives an impression that you have been at the Bar for years! Anyway, like Shakespeare said in “Julius Caesar”, “There is a tide in the affairs of men; which, taken at the flood, leads to fortune . . . .“ This is your divinely opportune time to stand and be counted among these great professional associations, and it will surely open wider gates of professional opportunities and recognition for you.” -SOLA ATERE.

THE CONCLAVE reports that Mr Sola Atere, a brilliant journalist of the broadcast genre, cut a niche for himself as a sedate newscaster, restless reporter, fastidious editor, and rose to the zenith at the Nigerian Television Authority where he retired as Executive Director [News] during which he also acted as Director General at an intersection when there was a vacancy.

A number of other associates have also congratulated Mr Sufuyan Ojeifo on his induction into the membership of Nigerian Guild of Editors and Nigerian Public Relations.

They included, among others, Mr Banji Ayoola, Mr Louis Achi, Mr Femi Afolabi, Hon Simeon Ebegbulem, and Mr Chuks Okocha [all of them with rich journalism backgrounds, nuanced by decades of experience].
