New Nasarawa PASAN chairman pledges inclusive administration

Mr Suleiman Oshafu, the new Chairman, Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria PASAN, Nasarawa State Chapter, has pledged an all-inclusive leadership in the interest of peace and progreds of the association.

Oshafu made the pledge during his inauguration in Lafia on Monday.

He also assured members of renewed hope and better days ahead.

“I want to appreciate members of our union for the confidence reposed in us by electing us to pilot the affairs of our union for the next four years.

“I will prioritise the welfare of our members, and I promise to operate an open door policy for enhanced productivity,” he said.

Oshafu, however, called on members and other stakeholders to support him and his executives to succeed.

He promised effective synergy among members, management of the state assembly, and the lawmakers to create a better working environment where democracy would thrive.

On his part, Mr Dogara Ahmed, the PASAN Electoral Committee Chairman, while presenting Certificates of Return to the new officials, appreciated the staff for their support that saw to the success of the election.

He called on members of the association to support the new leadership to succeed.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that other officials sworn-in included Aluma Peter as Vice Chairman, Secretary – Benjamin Affi, Assistant Secretary – Mohammed Ozaki, Financial Secretary – Joshua Luka, and Treasurer – Hadiza Saeed.

Others are Philip Akoshi as PRO, Auditor – Obadiah Emmanuel, Legal Adviser – Barr. Safiya Balarabe, Social Secretary – Gladys Makama, and Women Leader – Sa’datu Mohammed, while Martha Danladi and Abe John emerged as Social Welfare and Ex-Officio, respectively. (NAN)
