The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Tuesday, announced 749 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the fresh cases with-299, Plateau-131, Kaduna-83, FCT-74, Kwara-35, Sokoto-26, Edo-18, Kano-17, Katsina-16, Delta-11, Nasarawa-10, Ondo-9, Bauchi-9, Rivers-5, Akwa Ibom-3, Jigawa-1, Osun-1 and Ekiti-1.
The agency said three deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the fatality figure increased from 1,264 on Monday to 1,267 on Tuesday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 580 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 71,937 while 12,356 cases were still active in the country.
NCDC explained that the discharges on Tuesday included 279 community recoveries in Lagos State and 106 community recoveries in FCT managed in line with guidelines.
