NASC appoints Emmanuel Odo as Acting Senate Clerk

The National Assembly Service Commission [NASC] has appointed an acting Clerk of the Senate, Mr Emmanuel Odo, to fill the vacuum created by the retirement of Mr Emmanuel Rawlings Agada.

The Commission at its 10th meeting in Abuja approved the appointment of Odo to act in the position of clerk of the Senate, pending substantive decisions by the NASC acting in concert with National Assembly leadership [both political and administrative wings].

Before now,  Odo held several committee positions in the Senate. He was the deputy clerk, Administration of the Senate before his current appointment.

Staff members of the Senate were seen on Tuesday in a celebratory mood over the appointment of Mr. Odo, whom they described as “humble, simple, experienced, committed tu upholding the standard and integrity” of the Senate.
