Najaatu Muhammad takes further dig at Aisha Buhari, says brother responsible for printing new Naira notes

Naja`atu Muhammad, a former director in the Tinubu Campaign who is now supporting Atiku Abubakar, has called taken a dig the first kady, Aisha Buhari, saying her brother, Ahmed Halilu, is the managing director of the Nigerian Minting and Printing Company, a body that is responsible for printing the new naira notes.

Naja`atu Muhammad, who spoke against the backdrop of pain associated with the redesign of naira notes, described the move as self-serving.

She said that the APC and its governors had for long looked away from many of the security issues that had overwhelmed the nation.

Naja`atu had, very recently, resigned her membership of the APC and position in the Tinubu Campaign on the claim that the candidate is unhealthy.

In an interview on Arise News on Monday morning, the former APC campaign chief noted that Aisha Buhari’s repost of Mallam Nasir el-Rufai’s claim of the Aso Rock Cabal being against the APC made her as part of the cabals in the villa.

She said: “One of the cabal is Aisha Buhari. Aisha Buhari that is talking today is part of the cabal. We knew the cabal of Abba Kyari of late, of Mamman Daura that she couldn’t even come out to …

“She reaffirmed what el-Rufai said. el-Rufai said that there was cabal in the villa and she consented. But what I am saying is that she is also part of the cabal.

“What el-Rufai is saying is that changing money is ok, but why now during election? Is it about elections or about Nigerians that are suffering? Now whose election? Their election!

“So, when they are talking about election… Aisha Buhari’s brother, same mother and father is the MD minting and printing company. So, what are they talking about? When you talk of Emefiele Central Bank, the next you talk of is Minting and Printing. Her brother, same mother, same father, is the head of Minting and Printing in Nigeria today.

“So, for them to accuse the cabal only for themselves at this point in time…when did El-Rufai or any of the APC governors talk about ASUU strike, the killings, the kidnappings, they have never discussed that. As we are talking hundreds of children from Kebbi for over one year have been kidnapped from their school and been with the bandits but nobody is talking about that.

“84 people were killed in Katsina yesterday, every single day Nigerians are being killed but they don’t care. Look at what is happing in the Southeast, they don’t care. It doesn’t matter who kills you or when you are killed, what matters is that you have been killed. It doesn’t make any difference to the victims. So, it doesn’t make any difference to Nigerians when or how they are squeezed and strangled for lack of the currency that they should use to buy their day to day needs. So, they should stop lying,” she said.
