A former presidential candidate in the 2019 poll on the platform of the Peoples’ Trust (PT) and oil sector investor, Mr Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has commiserated with the publisher of THE CONCLAVE online newspaper, Mr Sufuyan Ojeifo, on the death of his mother, Madam Aishetu Ojeifo.

Madam Aishetu Ojeifo passed last Saturday from a brief illness in her residence in Owo, Ondo State, at the age of 91, two months to her 92nd birthday, which she would have celebrated on December 12, 2024.

Olawepo-Hashim said that the death of parents was always painful and diminishing regardless of how aged they were or had become, pointing out that Madam Aishetu’s transition about 92 years, even though painful, was a celebration of life that was well lived in the service of God and humanity.

He prayed that the Almighty God would rest her soul in His Bosom and grant the children grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family members the fortitude to bear the loss of a good mother indeed.

A former Editor and Chairman of Editorial Board of Vanguard newspaper, Mr Ikeddy Isiguzo conveyed his commiserations in a short, impactful letter, which reads inter alia: “ Greetings, Chief Sufuyan Ojeifo: my condolences on the passing of your dear mother, Madam Aishetu Ojeifo, at the ripe age of 91 years.

“No matter how long our loved ones live, their departure leaves us sad and in distressed contemplation of how to carry on without them.

“I pray that the Almighty strengthens you and the larger Ojeifo family as you go through the rites of realising the fuller impacts of Mama’s passing.

“Your consolation should be in her life and her longevity, which ensured that she witnessed her children’s landmarks in their careers.

“May the Almighty rest Mama. Amen

“Regards

“Ikeddy ISIGUZO.”
