The Kaduna State Government has constituted the 2023 transition committee, comprising nominees of the outgoing state governor, Nasir el-Rufai administration, and the Governor-elect, Senator Uba Sani.
The transition committee will be chaired by the Kaduna Secretary to the State Government, Balarabe Abbas Lawal, who was chairman of the transition committee in 2015 and vice-chairman in 2019.
The Permanent Secretary, Cabinet and Political Affairs, Nuhu Isyaku Buzun, was also appointed as the secretary of the committee.
This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the state government.
The government noted that the 65-person committee would prepare the roadmap for implementing the SUSTAIN manifesto of the incoming administration “which has at its core a governance agenda to continue the progress recorded in the state since 2015.”
The state government said the transition committee would also arrange the ceremonies to usher in the new government, adding that the committee would be inaugurated soon.
