Nigeria’s Amaju Melvin Pinnick has been elected into the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) prestigious Council seat.
Pinnick who is the incumbent President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) defeated his rival by 43 votes to 8, according to a report by Prompt News online.
There were 51 votes that were up for grabs in the election.
The former Delta State Football Association Chairman had secured the support of the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari in his race for the seat.
