Jorg Potreck has been named the new General Manager of Transcorp Hilton Abuja, succeeding Mr. Burlent Tarlan who completed his tenure.
Potreck brings over four decades of extensive hospitality experience, including 20 years as General Manager in various global locations such as Germany, the UK, Austria, South Africa, and Egypt.
Potreck rejoins Hilton from his recent role as General Manager at Johari Rotana in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
His hospitality career began in 1982 as a Management Trainee in Germany, progressing to his first General Manager position at the Westin Leipzig, Germany in 2004.
His notable previous roles include Cluster General Manager at Hilton Hurghada Plaza and Hilton Alexandria Corniche in Egypt, as well as Cluster General Manager at Hilton Cologne and Hilton Bonn in Germany.
In his new role at Transcorp Hilton Abuja, Potreck will oversee a team of over 1,800 members, managing all operational and commercial aspects to enhance guest satisfaction.

Transcorp Hilton Abuja, located in Nigeria’s capital and commercial district, offers 667 rooms and suites, seven restaurants and bars, and extensive leisure and recreational facilities, including an outdoor pool, a gym, and a shopping arcade.
The property also features a 24-hour Executive Lounge and 20 multi-purpose meeting rooms, including a Congress Centre that can accommodate up to 1,200 people.
Owned by Transcorp Hotels Plc., it is managed by Hilton as part of its Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand.
