Immortalise Buhari by naming any critical national asset after him, Aliyu Ibrahim appeals to Tinubu,

[Press Release] National Convener of the National Agenda For Tinubu 2027 {NAFT.27} , Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim, MFR, who also doubles as a topnotch member of the All Progressives Congress{APC}, has called on the Nigeria’s leader, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR to immortalise the late President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, by naming any of Nigeria’s critical National assets after the late two -time Head of state.

The passionate appeal by Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim is coming on the heels of the tragedy that befell Nigeria, last Sunday, July 13th, 2025, of the sad but sudden news of the death of President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, in a London Hospital, after brief illness.

By initiating this presidential proclamation, Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim explained, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would not only be immortalising the memory of the late President Muhammadu Buhari, but also allowing posterity to remember this great leader who, after retirement from the military, showed resilience through a dogged spirit to offer himself for national service through civilian processes, having contested three times and failed to became a civilian President.

According to Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim who was the first Nigerian to publicly declare a second bid for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, naming any of the critical national facilities after Buhari would help keep the memory of this one-time war veteran -transfomed democrat, “whose” erstwhile ” military sins” against the democratic elite class, had been forgiven by all Nigerians,” fresh in our memories.

He noted that “in death, we all forgive people of whatever perceived or imagined wrongdoings, that may have been ascribed to them, either rightly or wrongly.”

Dr Aliyu Ibrahim recalled that history would remember the late General Muhammadu Buhari as an urbane man, who struggled, failed, struggled and failed to win presidential polls but finally won it on a platter of GOLD, through the instrumentality of Nigeria’s political master strategist, known as His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in 2015 “, with the tacit political support of his associates, making him the JAGABAN of Nigerian politics”.

Immortalising the name of the late President Muhammadu Buhari, Dr Ibrahim, further noted, would go a long way, placing the one-time Nigerian civil veteran in the path of history.
