Nigerians have been advised to come together to support President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his effort to usher Nigeria into an era of renewed hope and sustained prosperity.
Goddy Frank Okoyo [GFO], a Canada-based Chartered Accountant, Management Consultant, and a Behavioural Scientist said that it was the only way the country could swing back from the social, political and economic challenges facing the people.
Okoyo said that the total support, if given to him, could set the country aright, where Tinubu might forever be revered as father of modern-age Nigeria.
The call was made via a press statement in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
The advice to Nigerians is coming ahead of the second anniversary of the president’s swearing-in as leader of the country.
Recall that on 29th May, 2023, Asiwaju Tinubu was sworn in as president of the Africa’s most populous nation and one of the continent’s economic hubs, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Okoyo, a stalwart of Edo state chapter of APC, from Ugboha Ward of Esan South East Local Government Area of the state, particularly observed that Tinubu, judging from his enviable past as a pro-democracy activist and now a president-reformer, could revive the country to buoyancy, like Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, a late leader of Turkey, for which he is still remembered as a principal architect of the Mediterranean European nation.
“Nigerians are living witnesses to the unrelenting efforts of Mr. President, to stem the blizzards of inherited challenges, with his significant policies and reforms”.
Okoyo, a leading light in Diasporic activities, has greatly contributed to the rapid growth of his home-state and Nigeria, through increased Diaspora remittances and investment etc.
Okoyo, more known for his acronym of GFO, urged the Pesident not to relent, but further strive to give Nigerians the best of governance, saying that posterity would judge him right for doing so.
GFO is also a grassroots mobiliser and strong campaigner, who in the past served variously as a member of the medical sub-committee of the 2023 APC National Convention, media committee of the Edo State APC Presidential Campaign Council and director of Diaspora on the 2024 Governorship Campaign Council of the state
