The coast is now clear for Mr Peter Obi to be on the presidential ballot in the February 2023 presidential election.
He is now officially the Labour Party’s presidential standard bearer in the poll.
Obi was running mate to Atiku Abubakar in 2019 as Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Vice Presidential and Presidential candidates respectively.
He withdrew from the race for PDP ticket in 2023 last week and announced his entry into the Labour Party, which is being primed as a formidable “Third Force” in the 2023 presidential poll.
A presidential aspirant in Labour Party, Professor Pat Utomi, stepped down for Peter Obi, in the race for the party’s nomination as its candidate ahead of the 2023 presidential poll.
Utomi announced that he was stepping down for Obi, former Anambra State governor, on Monday at the venue of the party’s presidential primary in Asaba, Delta State capital.
