The Federal Housing Authority, FHA, is determined to provide mass housing in line with the cardinal objectives, setting up the organisation and government’s concerted policy towards providing houses for all Nigerians .
The Managing Director, Chief Executive officer of the Authority, Senator Barihu Olugbenga Ashafa made this disclosure on Tuesday during the inauguration of 748 units of 75 blocks Federal Housing Authority FHA mass housing estate constructed in Zuba, the Federal Capital Territory FCT.
Senator Ashafa said the Federal Housing Authority was poised to providing affordable houses for the residents of the nation’s capital, opening up the hinterlands so as to resolve the unabated problems of shelter in the country.
“As part of government’s efforts , the authority had embarked on the construction of mass housing estate in Bwari and completed the Apo/ guzape, opened up Express view estate in Lugbe among many others across the country.”
He promised to sustain the legacy of the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari towards providing affordable accommodation to ordinary Nigerians across all strata of the society.
Senator Ashafa lauded the contributions of President Muhammadu Buhari to the provision of houses to all categories of Nigerians , saying the genuine commitment and results were adored everywhere in the last eight years of his administration.
The new estate has provided other facilities like the perimeter fence, Nos 5mva transformer, Injection Power Sub – Station,
Nos Independent Water Stations 2.7 kilometres of tarred and paved road network system with drainages and
landscaped environment
The estate also has provision for places of worship, shopping malls, Police Station, recreational areas, hotels, and an existing LE primary school.
