In a bid to prevent leadership vacuum in the area, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Etsako Central local government, on Wednesday, 27th of October, 2021, officially inaugurated Professor Joseph Waziri Erameh as the APC Zone three leader.
The ceremony, which took place at Fugar, was witnessed by the Zonal leaders of the party in the local government.
Performing the swearing in, the leader of the party in the local government, Chief Julius Brai Aloye, said it was a collective decision of the leaders’ forum to respect the choice of South Uneme zone and to prevent leadership vaccum in the area.
The Central leader said APC needed a man that was generally accepted, experienced and mature to lead South Uneme Zone especially now that the party is in opposition in the local government and in the state.
Chief Aloye charged the new zonal leader to be good ambassador of the party at all times.
He said that APC was a united family bound together by common ideology.
Zone two leader, Alhaji Waziri Oshomah, urged the new zonal leader to carry everyone along in the running of the affairs of the party in the zone.
Zone four leader of the APC and retired Commissioner of Police, Chief Jacob Oshiomhogho, expressed confidence in the ability of Professor Erameh to reposition and rebrand the party in the area.
Chairman of the party in the local government, Comrade John Saliu, thanked the party leaders for providing leadership to the party, adding that Professor Waziri Erameh would use his wealth of experience in leadership and politics to attract new members to the party.
Comrade John Saliu commended the party leaders’ forum for unanimously endorsing the decision of the Zone to inaugurate Professor Erameh.
In his acceptance speech, the new APC zone three leader, Professor Erameh, thanked the members of the party in the zone and the leaders for the honour bestowed on him and promised to justify the confidence reposed in him by the party.
