Diri congratulates PDP governors as they take oath of office

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri has extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the state governors who were elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and took their oath of office on Monday, May 29.

Through a congratulatory message delivered by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Daniel Alabrah, Governor Diri acknowledged that a new chapter had commenced in the lives of these newly-sworn-in governors and their respective states.

Governor Diri wished the seven new governors and the three re-elected governors of the PDP impactful tenures as they embark on the journey of transforming their states.

He emphasized that democracy flourished when the process of selecting leaders remained free from hindrance and manipulation.

The governorr urged the people of these states, whose will was reflected in the election of these governors, to continue supporting them in their endeavors.

He emphasized that governance was a collaborative effort and that the people were at the core of the entire process.

“On this historic occasion of May 29, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to my fellow PDP governors who have joined our ranks. It is indeed a momentous day, marking the beginning of a new chapter in some states and the continuation of progress in others.

“To the newly-sworn-in governors, I wish you fruitful tenures that enable you to make a lasting impact and bring about positive transformations in your respective states. Your journey has just begun, and I have faith in your ability to lead.

“I also call upon the people to lend their unwavering support, for governance is a collaborative endeavor where the people play a crucial role at the center of it all.”

Governor Diri expressed his confidence that the PDP would continue to provide a strong platform for democracy to thrive in Nigeria and contribute to the necessary transformation of the country.
