Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Saturday night, announced 160 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 59,287 cases.
The agency also confirmed one new death in the country within the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure increased from 1,112 on Friday night to 1,113 on Saturday night.
The data from the agency disclosed that 125 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, 7,456 were still active cases while a total of 50,718 patients had been successfully managed and discharged.
The health agency disclosed that Rivers had the highest record of the new cases with-42, Lagos-32, Plateau-21, FCT-18, Kaduna-14, Ogun-11, Katsina-10, Kwara-3, Ondo-3, Imo-3, Anambra-1, Abia-1 and Oyo-1.
