Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Thursday night, announced 296 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infections in the country to 53,317 cases.
The data from the health agency showed that 1 person died due the pandemic in the country within the last 24 hours as deaths figure increased from 1,010 on Wednesday to 1,011 on Friday.
It added that there were 11,580 active cases while 40,726 patients had been successfully managed and discharged.
