COVID-19 Updates: NCDC confirms 137 new cases, four new deaths

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Tuesday night, announced 137 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.

The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the new cases with-60, Abia-21, FCT-18, Rivers-13, Kaduna-5, Oyo-4, Edo-3, Delta-2, Imo-2, Kano-2, Ogun-2, Bauchi-1, Gombe-1, Nasarawa-1, Niger-1 and Osun-1.

The agency said four new deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure increased from 1,147 on Monday to 1,151 on Tuesday.

The data from the agency disclosed that 306 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, while 2,388 cases were still active in the country.

The agency explained that the Tuesday report from Abia State included updated confirmed and discharged cases recorded in the state.

Total confirmed cases in Nigeria- 63,173
Total discharged cases- 59,634.
Total deaths- 1,151.
