Founder of Alibaba, Jack Ma has donated medical equipments to Nigeria for protection against COVID-19. The medical supplies also contain test kits for the diagnosis of the virus.
The Nigerian government took delivery of the medical supplies on Wednesday evening, as they arrived through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) which is open for emergencies of this type.
The supplies is part of the Chinese billionaire’s contribution to Africa in the battle against the pandemic. Every member state of the African Union (AU) is due to receive medical supplies. The AU has reached an agreement with the Jack Ma Foundation for the provision of the materials.
Earlier today, Nigeria announced its 46th case of the pandemic, with two testing negative. A death has also been recorded from the pandemic.
