Ahead the judgment of the Supreme Court which will put to rest issues around the authentic candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State in the forthcoming general elections, a former Senator, Roland Owie, has pleaded with members of the party to come together as one no matter the outcome of the judgment.
Owie, who represented Edo South in the upper chamber from 1999 to 2003, urged members of the party “to note the word of God in first Corinthians Chapter 3. v.5-8 – WHAT IS APOLLOS, AFTER ALL, AND WHAT IS PAUL? ..I PLANTED, APOLLOS WATERED, BUT GOD CAUSED THE GROWTH. THEREFORE, NEITHER THE ONE WHO PLANTS NOR THE ONE WHO WATERS IS ANYTHING,BUT ONLY GOD, WHO CAUSES THE GROWTH.
“We should all remember that the entire EDO STATE PDP, LEGACY GROUP AND G.N.O GROUP WORKED TOGETHER TO ENSURE THAT GOV.OBASEKI WAS RETURNED AS GOV. OF EDO STATE FOR HIS SECOND TERM. Let us all return TO THAT UNITED PLATFORM, which was broken by GREED AND INGRATITUDE, after the SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT.
“May God bless all of us, especially those who laboured for the PDP and have not had any reward, and grant PDP/ATIKU/OKOWA And all PDP Candidates victory in Jesus Name,” the elder statesman urged.
