The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the temporary suspension of its recruitment application portal as part of efforts to improve the efficiency and transparency of its recruitment process.

According to a public announcement signed by the Secretary to the Board, Maj Gen AM Jibril (rtd), the portal—https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng has been temporarily shut down to optimize its performance in handling a high volume of applications.

The portal is expected to resume operations on Monday, July 21, 2025.

“This development will ensure that the portal accommodates the high volume of applications while guaranteeing a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process,” the statement read.

The CDCFIB acknowledged the interest and enthusiasm of young Nigerians seeking to serve the country through its paramilitary agencies and reaffirmed its commitment to a fair and transparent recruitment exercise.

The announcement emphasised that the suspension is only temporary and aimed at strengthening the integrity of the recruitment system for the benefit of all applicants.

The CDCFIB oversees the recruitment into Nigeria’s Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services—critical institutions responsible for national security, correctional administration, and emergency response.
