The Yobe State branch Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop Yohanna Audu has confirmed the killing of a Pastor of Church of Christ In Nations (COCIN) and five other persons by suspected members of Boko Haram terrorists.
The terrorists invaded Kwari Area, Asheikri Ward of Gaidam local government area during the weekend.
At the end of Boko Haram invasion, five males and a female were reportedly killed, while seven houses and a Church of Christ In Nations (COCIN) were burnt to ashes.
In addition, one vigilante officer was also killed by Unexplosive Ordinances (UXO).
Also, an Unexplosive Ordinances (UXO) exploded and killed one personnel of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Coprs (NSCDC) and injured three other military persons.
Gaidam is about a 180km drive from Damaturu, the Yobe state capital, which had witnessed a series of attacks in the past.
