Buhari condoles with Gen. Dipo Diya over wife’s death

President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with former Chief of General Staff,  Lt.-Gen. Oladipo Diya (retd.), over the passing of his wife, Deborah Folashade Diya, praying that the almighty God would comfort the family.

The President’s condolence message was released by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adedina, on Wednesday.

Accirding to the statement, President Buhari joined  family members, friends, and associates of Chief Folashade Diya, particularly members of the United African Methodist (Evangelical) Church, in mourning the devout Christian.

The president l, the statement said, noted that the deceased dedicated her time on earth to serving God, and working for the good of others.

He teportedly affirmed that the wife of the former Chief of General Staff lived to encourage and inspire many on faith in God, “demonstrating love, kindness and generosity through focus on helping the underprivileged, and counselling many.’’

The President was quoted to have prayed that the soul of the departed would find rest in God.
