The Edo State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Oluwole Iyamu (SAN), has been appointed into the Governing Board of the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Conveying the appointment in a letter with reference no. SGF/PS/LAC/28, dated January 19th, 2023, the Solicitor General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Justice, Mrs B. E. Jedy-Agba OON, mni, said: “I am pleased to inform you that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, CGFR, has approved your appointment as a member of the Governing Board of the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria for a term of three (3) years in the first instance.”
The letter added: “The terms of your appointment which takes effect from 19th December, 2022, shall be communicated to you by the Director-General of the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria in due course.
“The Board shall be inaugurated by the Hon. Attorney-General of theFederation and Minister of Justice in the Federal Ministry of Justice Headquarters on a date to be communicated to you soon. Congratulations.”
