A report said to have been verified by an online news medium, TheNewsGuru.com, TNG, said that the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, had lost one of his biological children, Dare, to the cold hands of death.
According to the TNG report, Dare who pastored one of the Abuja branch of the church, officiated on Sunday.
He was said to have asked not to be disturbed after getting home from church.
According to the report, he retired to his bedroom, slept but did not wake up.
Quoting an insider sources who confided in it, TNG, reported that it was when his wife, Temiloluwa Adeboye, noticed her husband’s unusual sleeping hours and could not reach him on phone that she raised the alarm and he was discovered dead.
It was gathered that the younger Adeboye was neither sick nor on medication when the tragic incident happened.
Dare, whom his dad, Pastor Adeboye last year described as his first miracle child would have been 43 in June.
The respected clergy said God put the devil to shame 42 years ago when Dare was born.
He prayed for the celebrant and also prayed that those seeking a miracle from God will receive it.
His post on Facebook read: “Happy birthday to my son Pst Dee prayers on your 42.
“Our first miracle child. We pray that God will keep his miraculous working power in your life and all those who needs a miracle today, will use you as a point of contact for their own in JESUS name. (Amen) love from Dad, Mom and the whole Adeboye dynasty.”
Confirming the sad development, one of the top shots in the RCCG family said: “Shock. Disbelief. Tears. Thanksgiving. Praise. Total submission to the will of God. Pastor Dare’s death is painful, unexpected but who dares question God?”.
Meanwhile, after a long wait for confirmation, the Head of Media and Public Relations, RCCG, Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi, has confirmed the tragedy to reporters. He did so on Thursday morning.
He said, “It is true. The incident happened in Eket where he was based. I don’t have the details for now. Maybe before the end of today, we will issue a statement.”
Below was the last post Dare made on Twitter, captioned “on my way to receive the Sceptre of favour.”
Until his death, Dare who was Pastor E. A. Adeboye’s third child and second son, was popularly referred to as “Pastor D”.
He was one of the most influential Youth Pastors in RCCG Worldwide.
The late Pastor Dare Adeboye was the North Central Youth Evangelist overseeing all the youths, RCF, RCCF and PSF in Niger, Benue, Kwara, Kogi, Nasarawa, Plateau, and FCT.
He had held previous positions as the Senior Pastor of RCCG, House of Praise, Birmingham, the Provincial Youth Pastor of RCCG Kaduna Province 1 and RCCG Kaduna Region 8 Youth Pastor.
Also, he had held various posts such as the RCCG Youth Affairs National & International Director of Programmes, Chairman Organizing Committee of 70hrs Messiah’s Marathon Praise, National Youth Convention and Northern Zone, Abuja, RCCG SHIFT programmes.
All these positions had allowed him to understand the various dynamics of young people across the globe and how to increase the church’s influence.
He had dedicated his life to training and mentoring young people on making the most of their faith anywhere they found themselves.
Pastor Dare Adeboye, who was his father’s look-alike, a chip off the old block, also created opportunities for young people to feel empowered and be ready to carry on the mantle of the church and to keep promoting the church’s mission and goals.
Pastor Dare Adeboye was happily married to Mrs Temiloluwa Adeboye. He was blessed with lovely kids in the union.
