Biden appoints Nigerian-born Funmi Badejo cabinet member

The people of Kogi State, Nigeria, are reportedly in a celebratory mood, according to The Source online newspaper.

The publication said that one of their daughters, Funmi Olorunnipa Badejo, had been appointed by US President-elect, Joe Biden, as “Associate Counsel to President-elect.”

She is the daughter of Prof. Zachaeus Olorunnipa from Igbo- Bunu, Kabba-Buni LGA, Kogi State, the report stated.

The report further said that “her elder brother, Tolu,  is, currently (sic), the White House Correspondent  for Washington Post.

“She is the third Nigerian to be appointed into office by the incoming President Biden.”
