The Senate on Wednesday unveiled Senator Oyelola Ashiru (APC, Kwara South) as the Deputy Leader of the Senate to replace Dave Umahi, who is bow Minister of Works.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced this at plenary.
The Senate also announced Senator Nwebonyi Onyeka as the new Deputy Chief Whip.
Ashiru, who was hitherto the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, was elevated to the position of deputy leader of the Senate.
