APC says Governor Aiyedatiwa’s inclusive leadership is redefining governance in Ondo

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has commended the transformational leadership style of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, describing him as “a quiet reformer whose inclusive approach to governance has renewed faith in political leadership and restored integrity to public service in the state.”

In a statement issued by the Director of Media and Publicity of the APC in Ondo State, Hon. Steve Otaloro, the party noted that since assuming office, Governor Aiyedatiwa has demonstrated uncommon humility, focus, and balance in managing the affairs of the state, ensuring that every segment of the society feels represented in governance.

According to the statement, Governor Aiyedatiwa’s deliberate effort to assemble a diverse and inclusive cabinet- comprising young people, technocrats, academics, and experienced politicians represents a clear departure from the old order of godfatherism and political patronage that had stifled innovation and discouraged emerging talents in the state’s political space.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership has brought about sweeping political changes that have opened new doors of opportunity for many qualified citizens to serve the state. His appointments reflect competence, character, and inclusivity, giving both the young and the experienced equal chances to contribute to Ondo’s development,” the statement read.

The APC further highlighted the governor’s developmental strides across critical sectors, including infrastructure, health, education, agriculture, and security, noting that these achievements are visible proofs of his commitment to good governance.

The party listed some of the key achievements of the administration to include: Rehabilitation and dualisation of major roads such as Akure–Idanre, Akungba–Ikare, and Okitipupa–Igbokoda; Expansion of healthcare delivery through the contributory health scheme and upgrading of hospitals across the state; Recruitment of over 2,000 teachers and payment of WAEC fees for thousands of public-school students; ₦7.5 billion investment in agriculture and food security programmes covering over 26,000 hectares of farmland; and Provision of 75 security patrol vehicles to strengthen law enforcement capacity.

The party emphasized that these unprecedented reforms have shifted the political narrative of Ondo State from patronage to performance, with appointees now focused on service delivery rather than personal gain.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa has restored dignity to governance and given every citizen regardless of background or affiliation a fair chance to serve. He has also made the APC the most dominant political structure in the state, as opposition members continue to defect in recognition of his transparent and inclusive leadership,” Otaloro added.

Concluding, the APC described Governor Aiyedatiwa’s rise to leadership as a divine act, quoting the scriptures that “power belongs to God who raises whom He wills.”

“Governor Aiyedatiwa’s story is a reminder that leadership is a calling of service, not ambition. He has proven that humility and fairness can rebuild trust in governance and bring prosperity to our people,” the statement concluded.
