The Labour Party (LP) Senatorial Candidate for Ife/Ijesa Senatorial district in the 2023 general elections, Hon John Fasogbon, on Sunday, called on the people of his constituency that have yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, to do so immediately.
Hon. Fasogbon stated that the change they desired to see in Nigeria as well as Ife/Ijesa Senatorial district would only be effective when they had their PVCs.
The Labour Party Senatorial Candidate made the call in Ile-Ife, Osun State, while answering questions from our correspondent.
The Ife-born politician said that only the PVC would give the electorate power to elect leaders of their choice while obtaining the PVC was an important civic responsibility, urging them to troop out en-masse for the collection.
Hon. Fasogbon pleaded with the electorate in his constituency to visit political wards and the various offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to pick theirs, disclosing that INEC offices stay open between 9am and 3pm daily.
Hon. Fasogbon who described the Labour Party as the party to beat in the coming election, declared tha it was the only party that could liberate the people of the country from the current hardship.
The Senatorial Candidate who reiterated his readiness to serve the entire people of Ife/Ijesa Senatorial district promised that his representation would be meaningful to the constituents in terms of sharing of dividends of democracy.
Hon. Fasogbon concluded by calling on the people of the country to demonstrate their unalloyed support to the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi for him to become the next President of Nigeria after President Mohammed Buhari.
