The organising secretary of the Abia state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Obinna Atuonu, is dead.
Atuonu, according to information, died at the age of 65.
A report by The Nation newspapee said that Atuonu died during a church service in Aba, the commercial capital of the state, where he was addressing the parishioners.
A family source was reported to have dizclosed that on the fateful day, his only surviving brother, Dr. Chiedozie Atuonu got a call to rush to Aba from Umuahia where he was at the time the call came.
According to him, the caller told him that his brother was critically ill, adding that his presence was needed.
According to the source, the brother of the Organising Secretary upon arrival, discovered that his brother was critically ill and was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
The source said the body of the late APC organizing secretary had been deposited at the morgue.
