A100-level computer science student of Veritas University Abuja, identified as Joshua Èjuojo Daniel-Ejigbo, has reportedly died while exercising at the school’s gymnasium.
A report by SaharaReporters said that the deceased was exercising when he started foaming in the mouth and subsequently slumped around 9 pm on Tuesday.
The University authorities reportedly called the dead student’s father to inform him about the incident around 11 pm on Tuesday.
Dr. Sanni Bil-hissan who spoke on behalf of the University confirmed the incident on Wednesday in a chat with SaharaReporters
However, a human rights lawyer, Mr Deji Adeyanju, who is representing the family told SaharaReporters that the parents of the deceased student suspected foul play and gross negligence.
